Facial Surgery

Facial surgery is the most commonly recognized aspect of cosmetic surgical procedures. The term “facelift” has been part of the popular lexicon for several decades and these procedures are becoming more and more common. However, a facelift is much more than one simple operation.

Rhinoplasty, often referred to as a “nose job”, is one of the more commonly performed facial surgery procedures. In most cases, this type of surgery is elective, meaning that it is not necessary and is strictly for appearances. There are instances, however, where rhinoplasty is necessary; whether due to an injury or a birth defect.

Facial surgery techniques can also be used to correct droopy eyelids and smooth those hateful crow’s feet. An eye-left (Blepharoplasty) is done by removing the excess skin and reshaping the fatty bulges around the eye. Crow’s feet, and wrinkles in general, can be smoothed out using a variety of procedures ranging from skin resurfacing to injections of BOTOX®.
